Meet Tom
When someone chooses a photographer, they choose to see the world through the photographer’s lens. A photo says as much about the person behind the camera as it does about the person in front. It’s this awesome responsibility and opportunity that motivates me. So what does my lens look like?
•I got my first camera at age 10 when I was on vacation in Rocky Mountain National Park. I was struck by the scale, majesty, beauty and was hooked.
•Life is short, make the most out of every day. My dad was a WWII veteran and photo enthusiast who died when I was 19. I quickly learned the value of life, relationships, memories & pictures.
•I’m an obsessive competitive boomer with a quest to be the best. I’m silly, adventurous, love dogs, traveling, planes, fast cars, golf, pizza and beermosas.
•I never say “cheese”, it’s fake news. Being authentic is more compelling. I may not always succeed but I’ll take “real” over something forced any day.
•I adore my girls and see life through my youngest daughter who has Down Syndrome – colorful, happy, beautiful, kind, graceful, loving, optimistic and hilarious.
•I’m too old for tattoos, but I sometimes break rules. I got my third, they’re kind of addicting.
I recently ditched corporate life, am down to earth, laid back, easy going and never take myself too seriously. Thanks for looking through my lens.
Cheers!
